Schools in the area
There are five primary schools and one secondary school in Liskeard. Some of the Primary schools are in remote locations up on the Moors and therefore can have problems accessing provision in the town.
Variety of music education
As well as class and peripatetic music teachers in schools there are organisations such as Wham Bam Theatre providing musical theatre activity. There is a Caradon Youth Choir offering weekly singing opportunities for young people. Mondays 5:15 - 6:45. Liskeard Public Hall.Ages 7 - 19. A unique choir that allows young people to explore singing and music making in a creative, stimulating and fun environment. Young People Cornwall and RIO are working to ensure that youth services are available to young people in the area. Cymaz Music is working with Liskeard School and Passmore Court supported housing centre on an intergenerational composition project. Cymaz Music has been working for several years in Caradon AP Academy, providing high quality music opportunities for young people attending the AP.
